NOSFERATU provides a chilling and melancholy glimpse into the silent era of horror. Featuring groundbreaking performances from Max Schrek as Count Orlok, and stunning visual sets that would come to define the genre. 

Tomas Hutter, played by Gustav von Wangenheim travels to the German town of Wisborg in 1838 to meet with the mysterious and elusive Count Orlok, who desires to buy a house near to Hutter’s own. Through increasingly strange and disturbing encounters, Hutter begins to suspect Count Orlok of being a Vampire.

NOSFERATU provides an eerie and gloomy glimpse into Count Orlok’s world, with sets and scenes that create a surrealist interpretation of dark and gothic architecture and landscapes. The sets, in particular, establish an iconic style that would later be adopted by many in the gothic horror genre, such as Tim Burton.

There are few films that have defined a genre so concretely as NOSFERATU, not just stylistically but through a creative and compelling narrative. The scenes and sets are iconic, creating a world rich in character and depth. This movie is an instant classic and well worth the watch.
